Day-to-Day Responsibilities​ Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal performance of the databases; Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and incidents in a timely manner; Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures; Work closely with DevOps Squads and R&D to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements; Work closely with the Global Infrastructure (On-Premise IaC) DBaaS PostgreSQL team to monitor and plan for future database infrastructure (Storage, CPU, Memory) needs and ensure databases can scale to meet increasing demands; Ensure databases comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements; Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline database management tasks; Participate to the on-call role (24×7 coverage, weekly rotation basis) for production support. In practice this means: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration, including performance tuning and optimization, replication, clustering and high availability; Experience in deploying and supporting PostgreSQL clusters in production; Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (e.g.: Google Cloud SQL, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL) and other database technologies (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) is a plus; Experience with Git version control system and provisioning solutions (e.g.: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) Proficiency in SQL, PL/pgSQL; Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Ansible); Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation; Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems; Familiarity with database security best practices; Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies; Experience working in high-availability and scalable environments; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Fluent in English.
