Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled SEO Content Editor to join our team. This is a fully remote role where you’ll take initial AI-generated content drafts and transform them into high-quality, SEO-ready articles. You’ll ensure each piece aligns with search intent, improves readability, and meets our publishing standards. If you have a knack for sourcing relevant images, creating checklists, and developing SOPs, that’s a huge bonus! ✨ Key Responsibilities ✍️ Content Editing & Optimisation Refine AI-generated content drafts to ensure clarity, coherence, and improved readability. Align content with search intent and audience needs. Remove any identifiable “AI-isms” or unnatural phrasing, creating a human-like tone. ⚙️ SEO Enhancement Optimise articles for SEO using tools like Neuron, SurferSEO, or equivalent. Conduct keyword placement, meta description creation, and internal linking to boost search rankings. Ensure proper formatting for readability (headings, bullet points, tables, etc.). Quality Assurance Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and editorial standards. Fact-check and proofread articles to ensure accuracy. Conduct a final review of content before it is published online. Image Sourcing Source and include relevant, high-quality images that align with the content. Ensure proper attribution and licensing for all sourced images. ️ Process Development Create clear, actionable checklists for content editing and SEO optimisation. Develop and refine SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to streamline content production workflows. Collaboration Work closely with the internal production team to understand the goals and target audience for each piece of content. Provide feedback on AI-generated drafts to enhance future output. Requirements Proven experience as a Content Editor, SEO Specialist, or similar role. Strong understanding of SEO best practices and tools, including Neuron, SurferSEO, Grammarly, SEMrush, and Ahrefs. Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style. Ability to adapt writing styles to match brand voice and audience needs. Experience sourcing relevant images for content. Familiarity with creating checklists and developing SOPs. Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills. Familiarity with AI writing tools is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience editing or working with AI-generated content. Understanding of content strategies for various platforms (blogs, websites, etc.). Basic knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot, etc.). Basic knowledge of HTML. Why Join Us?
