We are looking for a Flight Control System Engineer Site: Cascina Costa di Samarate (Varese) The identified resource, with a degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Automation, Computer, Nuclear, Electrical) will work in a dynamic and technological environment in the role of Flight Control System Engineer. Flight Control System Engineer, for civil and military projects, is the focal point in the Engineering Department for definition, development, integration and certification of Avionics systems, such as Displays, Computers, Communication and Navigation Systems, Mission Systems and Flight Control Systems. Flight Control System Engineer interfaces with all the other functional Areas within and outside engineering department. The main activities are the following: Avionics and Electrics System requirements definition derived from End Customer operational requirements and Certification Requirements; Definition of electro-avionics integration by Functional Schematics preparation to be used as input for helicopter installation drawings; Conduct the Avionics System Development Lifecycle, in terms of design, test and qualification reviews; Preparation of detailed supplier specifications and monitoring supplier development and qualification; Preparation and execution of Bench Test procedures and Helicopter test procedures for the Avionics and Electrical systems, including data analysis and troubleshooting, definition of flight test cards, briefing/debriefing, monitoring in telemetry, flight data analysis and troubleshooting; Management of safety process for development, including Functional Hazard Assessment, Safety Assessment and Malfunction Flight test activity; Management of software design changes throughout development life cycle (Model Based Design or traditional hand-written code); Preparation of Certification documentation for Avionics and Electrical Systems; Support to Production and Customer Support for troubleshooting analysis and helicopter test execution. HARD SKILLS Knowledge/Interest in aircraft/helicopter systems Be able to deal with certification processes Fluent in English (both spoken and written) SOFT SKILLS Capabilities to work in cross-functional team environments; Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving; NICE TO HAVE Previous experience in aeronautical world and technical environment. Knowledge of system engineering processes. Knowledge in software implementation for aerospace applications (DO-178B and/or DO-178C standards).
