System Software Engineer – BSP / Start Up We are partnered with a well-funded stealth mode start-up in the Netherlands working on cutting-edge secure CPU technologies. They are looking to expand their team with a System Software Engineer, you will design and develop Board Support Packages (BSP) for cutting-edge hardware platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system functionality, performance, and security. This is a permanent opportunity based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Key Responsibilities for this System Software Engineer position: Develop and maintain BSPs for ARM-based systems, including bootloaders, device drivers, and system initialization. Integrate hardware and software components, collaborating with hardware engineers to optimize performance. Troubleshoot and resolve system-level and software issues, including hardware-software integration challenges. Work on low-level software, OS bringup, and real-time solutions for embedded systems. Participate in architecture reviews and HW/SW co-design processes. Key Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in BSP development for ARM or similar architectures. Strong background in hardware-software integration, bootloaders (e.g., U-Boot), and device drivers. Proficiency in low-level programming (e.g., assembly, C/C++, Rust). Experience with Linux kernel development and embedded software debugging tools.
