Job Position: Senior Outdoor Housekeeping Manager Department: Resort – Housekeeping Location: Green Coast, Palasa Type of employment: Permanent Job Summary The Senior Outdoor Housekeeping Manager oversees all aspects of outdoor housekeeping services at our resort. This key leadership position ensures that the outdoor common areas are meticulously maintained, providing residents and guests with a luxury resort experience. The role requires an individual who combines leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation in all outdoor spaces. Main Responsibilities And Duties Outdoor Housekeeping Management Supervise and lead the outdoor housekeeping team, including the cleaning, maintenance, and overall presentation of outdoor areas. Ensure all outdoor areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards to ensure a luxury experience for residents and guests. Develop and implement daily and weekly cleaning schedules for outdoor spaces, considering the high demands of a premium resort environment. Coordinate with other departments and third parties to ensure cohesive management of outdoor spaces. Team Leadership Lead and motivate a team of outdoor housekeeping staff, ensuring high morale and efficient task execution. Conduct regular training to ensure staff adhere to cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and resort standards. Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance reviews. Assign regular daily duties to staff under supervision, schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure proper coverage of outdoor housekeeping duties. Guest Experience Focus Regularly inspect outdoor areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic standards. Address requests and complaints promptly, ensuring that all outdoor areas meet the expectations of a luxury resort. Ensure special requests for outdoor experiences (e.g., outdoor events, special setups) are executed flawlessly. Inventory and Equipment Management Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and outdoor maintenance tools, ensuring the team is well-equipped to perform their duties efficiently. Oversee the purchase of high-quality cleaning products and outdoor materials while maintaining cost control. Maintain a clean and organized storage area for all outdoor cleaning supplies and equipment. Health & Safety Compliance Ensure that outdoor housekeeping practices comply with local health and safety regulations. Regularly inspect outdoor areas for potential hazards (e.g., slippery surfaces, broken furniture) and take immediate action to address safety issues. Oversee and lead waste management initiatives to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency. Supervise any subcontracted cleaning or waste removal services for the Resort, Lungomare, La Vista, or any other managed area. Supervise and monitor the waste collection service from the Municipality and report any issues with this service to your superior. Collaboration With Other Departments Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that any outdoor repairs or issues are handled promptly. Collaborate with the operations/administration to ensure resident/guest needs and preferences regarding outdoor areas are met. Provide input to management regarding improvements to outdoor areas that could enhance guest experience. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. A degree in hospitality management, facilities management, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in outdoor housekeeping or a similar role in a luxury hotel, resort, or villa environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in an outdoor setting. Knowledge of outdoor cleaning equipment, materials, and maintenance procedures. Proficient in using housekeeping management software and tools, and M. Office Suite. Key Competencies Must be punctual, accurate, and capable of timely problem-solving. Exceptional attention to detail with an eye for cleanliness and presentation. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and residents/guests. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Customer-focused with a positive attitude. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Able to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving items, walking long distances, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Flexible regarding working hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed to ensure 24/7 coverage of outdoor areas.
