To accompany exciting long term business growth opportunities for Jacobs in diverse market sectors (Infrastructures, Advanced Facilities, Energy) and to support offering our Clients the full Jacobs Solutions, we are currently looking for an Environmental Consultancy Lead to be based in our rapidly growing multidisciplinary Danish Team. This position will work in close synergy with other disciplines in local operations, as well as within a broad global network of experts. This role will be responsible for supporting project/program activities in regards to environmental needs with direct responsibility as Project Manager including client engagement, proposal development, delivery coordination, financial management, team and client/external stakeholder engagement, and reporting. This role should demonstrate understanding and application of the knowledge and competencies associated to diverse environmental consultancy solutions, around Environmental Site Assessment, capital project Impact Assessment, investigation and remediation of brownfield sites, in order to present and deliver these to Jacobs customers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Delivers Environmental Consultancy in the areas of Environmental Site Assessment (Due Diligence, Compliance Audits, Merger & Acquisition, phase 1 and 2), Environmental Impact Assessment and Permits for Capital development & expansion projects. Familiarity with Site investigation, risk assessment and remediation of contaminated sites, with understanding of evolving PFAS issues, is considered a plus. Managing activities related to the development of whole life cycle of environmental services, including scope development, budget and schedule preparation, subcontractor coordination, site visits, reporting; Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs’ HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met. Plays a role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contract. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes. Is familiar with environmental regulations and guidelines at local and EU level, understands potential impacts to our customers’ projects and is capable to advice them on best strategies and approaches to adopt. Solid experience (10+ years) supporting private sector (industrial, energy, life sciences, IT and other critical advanced facilities) working in/for multinational companies, and client facing roles; Is able to assemble and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, also working remotely across multiple offices; Acts as the company’s prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project; Builds and maintain strong relationships with clients & responds to customer feedback; Provides project reporting and forecasting against the project programs as per client and internal requirements; Reviewes and implementing project delivery strategies that meet company objectives; Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve project delivery; Works with the company’s leadership who provide oversight and mentoring; Is available and flexibly willing to step up in developing a broader business & team, also by mentoring and hiring additional resources as needed. Here’s what you’ll need Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Geography, Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related disciplines; Professional knowledge of environmental regulation in Denmark and EU level; Technical expertise with Environmental Site Assessment (EDD, M&A, compliance, Phase1, Phase2 ESA) Experience in Environmental Permitting and Compliance strategies and implementation approaches will be relevant; Familiarity with Site investigation, risk assessment and remediation of contaminated sites, with understanding of evolving PFAS issues, is considered a plus; Ability to support and coordinate diverse type of environmental projects, across Denmark, and possibly supporting wider Scandinavia and Europe. Capability in water quality/chemistry, ecology, air, and social impact assessment; Familiar with local market (partners, subs), ability and interest to lead developing and growing a business; Excellent problem solving and team working skills including being able to rapidly engage with a team; High level of safety awareness; Fluent Danish & English language (Swedish and Norwegian would be a plus).
