Evergreen Talent Partners is looking for an experienced professional to join the I&F team of a leading renewable investor and owner/operator. The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of Italian and broader European clean energy M&A transactions and project financing. Responsibilities: Leading the Italian investment & finance team, drive the acquisition and financing of multi-tech renewable energy projects, including raising project finance pre-construction and refinancing existing debt facilities to optimise equity returns. Review financial models, due diligence processes (legal, technical, environmental, tax), internal approvals, and transaction documentation. Negotiate commercial contracts related to EPC, O&M and PPA, with support from central functions. Engage and manage external advisors, including those in M&A, Financial, Legal, and Technical capacities. Oversee and train team members in transaction execution, negotiations, due diligence analysis, and preparation of presentations for internal stakeholders. Requirements: Demonstrated experience in managing renewable energy investments, including both equity and debt transactions, within the Italian market. Familiarity with other European markets is a plus. Skilled in structuring deals for early and mid-stage development projects, with a strong understanding of transaction mechanisms such as earnouts and milestone-based payments. Broad technical knowledge of renewable energy systems, including wind, solar PV, and energy storage solutions, coupled with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end investment process. In-depth awareness of Italy’s energy sector, including its regulatory landscape, grid integration processes, and project development pathways. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical, commercial, and legal challenges. Advanced academic background in relevant fields (e.g., finance, engineering, energy systems) and a proven track record of professional development in the renewable energy industry.
