We are thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join our global team. We continue exciting journey to provide cutting-edge data engineering solution in Europe Ambulance and we are looking for a person that will be willing to support us. About the job As an integral part of our team, your role will involve developing and maintaining the data models that serve as the foundation for a variety of end-user-focused data products. You will manage the entire process, from designing and building the data foundations to testing, deploying, and providing support. Our end users include managers and decision-makers, across various departments in the European Ambulance organization as well as in Group Functions, who rely on data insights to drive strategic initiatives. The goal is to deliver timely and accurate data products empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance business value. Your main responsibilities will involve: Designing, developing, and maintaining the data layer for the existing solution. Sourcing data from both cloud and on-premise legacy solutions. Leveraging Databricks for data processing. Utilizing multiple Azure services, Delta tables, PowerBI, SQL Server in the solution’s architecture. Developing robust and efficient code in Python, with extensive use of PySpark and other relevant frameworks Utilizing Azure DevOps for pipelines development and management Collaborating with Full Stack Engineers, Architects, and other team members from the program on a day-to-day basis. You will be stepping into an international team located in Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Stockholm with a common focus to deliver a data foundation for the future while enabling business to meet today’s demand. It is important for us to provide our team members with flexibility for working both onsite and offsite. This is part of our strategy to provide a great place to work for everyone in Falck. Join us and be part of a team that’s shaping the future of data in healthcare. About you The ideal candidate: Is proficient in Python, with extensive experience in PySpark. Is familiar with Azure, Databricks and Delta tables Has knowledge of DevOps/git/Agile (Continuous integration / Continuous delivery) Has solid experience in data modeling and implementing Data Layers for solutions. Is an innovative thinker who understands the transformative role of IT in our organization. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys learning new technologies. Can communicate complex IT-related issues in an understandable manner. Is proficient in written and spoken English. About Us The Data function is where data is turned into information in Falck. We are four different teams working with: Data & Analytics, Power Platform & AI Services, Strategic Automation and Master Data.
