The Segment Leader is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for each segment to meet MAE’s business needs. In this role, the Segment Leader benchmarks market technologies and prices using an optimized cost model and manages the supplier panel to support high order intake levels, product development, QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance, and MAE’s overall strategy. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1. STRATEGY DEFINITION AND APPLICATION Makes sure product lines specific requirements are taken into account Deploys the purchasing strategy in the product lines and the regions Guides project buyers for โPreโ Soco & SoCo process to ensure 100% compliance Builds mid term visibility on new business awards of the segment for MAE and force bundling at earliest project stages Defines the segment strategy under the validation of the MAE Purchasing Commodity Manager 2. QCD PERFORMANCE Achieves QCD performance targets for serial and project purchasing Takes the lead in supplier risk mitigation and implements relevant action plans when necessary Promotes the improvement of supplier performance across various regions Prepares and oversees the annual purchasing budget process for the segments worldwide Develops an aggressive QCD improvement plan, including all relevant strategies Monitors and produces analysis on key performance indicators 3. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT Maintains and ensures the reliability of commercial data in SAP for the division Leads the Soco Committee for their segment 4. SUPPLIER PANEL STANDARDS Maintains updated data (price lists, GRF, supplier capacity, tool list, etc.) for the main suppliers in PUMA Ensures compliance with ethics and applicable laws when dealing with suppliers in their segment Acts as the gatekeeper for in/out suppliers and the NBOH process Keeps databases updated with purchasing expenditure and market evolutions for the segments Optimizes purchasing expenditure through the use of cost models for parts and tools Gathers material cost evolution data for negotiations with suppliers and communication with Sales REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years relevant working experence College or University Degree Fluent English (Both written and spoken) Negotiation Strategic Planning Problem Solving Communication Technology Awareness Market Search and Analysis Innovation & Creativity (process and technologies) Contract Management and Compliance Legal and Finance Supply Chain Management Show more Show less
