Job Introduction FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s.r.o., as a member of FREQUENTIS group, is focused on software development, engineering and delivery of safety critical communication and information systems. Our Bratislava-based company FREQUENTIS Solutions belongs to the Austrian group FREQUENTIS AG (www.frequentis.com), specialized in safety-critical voice communications, for example for air traffic control towers, public safety control rooms (112) or air defense forces. Our mission critical solutions cover diverse areas, such as telephony and radio communication, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), incident and resource management, video surveillance and automatic video analytics. 400 customers worldwide with 25.000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience. Key Tasks Responding to technical enquiries in all service aspects (incident and problem reports, technical issues …) within the contractually agreed response times. First point of contact for customers with regard to all technical service issues during system lifecycles Documentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems Coordinating and carrying out root cause analyses and remedies Assisting our customers with their technical queries about the operation, configuration and service of the serviced system Designing, planning and technically executing changes and extensions to existing systems (change requests) Integrating systems and system components into existing system environments. Performing system audits Collaborating with Product Management on designing and extending/improving products Supporting Product Management with continuous product improvement based on experience gained / feedback from customers Drafting/updating technical documentation on systems and their interfaces. Site acceptance with customers Coordinating with product development teams and/or development teams on error analysis and troubleshooting Key Qualifications Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (particularly RHEL), including updates, upgrades & troubleshooting issues Bash scripting Solid experience with virtualization platforms (VMware preferred) Experience with SBC & PABX Experience with various storage technologies Good Understanding of basic networking Understanding of clustering concepts Able to generate documentation: Step-by-Step instructions for other engineers as well as Specifications and Requirements Able to quickly adapt to frequent software releases Special Skills & Abilities Analytical skills to localize errors and sources of errors in distributed systems Professional communication and client relationship skills, even during critical situations and under time pressure Precise and thorough documentation abilities Willingness to travel occasionally Our Values Around 2,100 employees are committed to creating a safer world with their innovative strength and technology orientation.
