About the position: The holder of this position is responsible for the development and CAD design of Headrest/Armrest product from concept design up to successful production run. S/he is responsible for communication with customer CAD engineering teams and implementation of customer requirements and internal requirements and quality standards into any of the 3D model and related drawings in this role as a CAD designer. Qualifications: • 5 years on similar position in the area of product development design in automotive industry, • Master / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, • Excellent knowledge and usage of CATIA systems as needed for her/ his design activities, • Ability to facilitate creativity and innovation both as individual contributor and as team member, • Demonstrated capacity to develop strategic approaches and problem solving ability, • Strong team player skills, • Good verbal, written, and visual communication skills, • Fluent in English, • No travel restriction. Duties and responsibilities: • Direct contact with product development engineering teams internally and on customer side, • Responsible for design of sub-assemblies and components related to feasibility, • Follow up with suppliers and evaluation of product feasibility with suppliers, • Prepare product presentations for internal and customers, • Support DFMEA activities, • Creation of aspects of the headrests and armrests, from pre-program concept / packaging sketches, to full production detail drawings and Layouts, • Preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM), • Create also technical specification requirements for the products and Product Book, • Create and support tolerance stack and studies related to any required functionality of the product, • Evaluation of test results together with the responsible test engineer, • Material selection for the components during the design phase, • Evaluation and implementation of required customer specification within the design phase, • CAD data exchange with customers, suppliers and company entities, • Communication and potential exchange between CAD designer in other company entities, • Active support in improving of internal development processes.
