Then you could be our new… Supplier Quality Development @ Aerospace BU The Aerospace Business Unit takes care of everything related to Aerospace applications. This includes Sales, Manufacturing, Business Development, and creating new products and processes. This unit works in many countries and markets all over the world. It has customers that include the biggest names in the Aerospace industry with the focus of reducing the environmental footprint into every aspect of our operations to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future. In your role of “Supplier Quality Development” you will interact with representatives from a variety of functional areas, both external (customer, supplier) and internal (engineering, quality assurance, and production), managing internal processes, supplier’s validations and coordinating actions. You will be in charge to lead supplier development activities. Further you will be mainly responsible for Supplier approval, where you will ensure supplier understands SKF Quality Standards for Suppliers and all other aspects of the purchase order, you will conduct qualification audit, develop an action plan to resolve all discrepancies, and manage the supplier’s improvement, documenting using the appropriate IT tools. Supplier development / improvement, where you will support supplier improvement activities using problem solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why’s, FMEA, PPAP, etc. Be the liaison between the supplier and SKF technical community, Complete activities related to run @ rate, capacity, and other related events Supplier innovation, to identify potential supplier innovation and align with SKF technical demand Supplier compliance, to understand Group and BU Policies related to Conflict Materials, REACH, RoHS Risk management, to support development of contingency plans related to all identified risks / issues, Anticipate single source supplier risks and support development of contingency plans Main Requirements Degree in Engineering, Material Science, or similar technical field. Experienced auditor; Experience with supplier development; Knowledge of steel melting and experience in a manufacturing environment; High analytical ability and problem-solving skills; Self-starter able to effectively interact across all levels of the organization; Highly developed communication skills in English; Availability to travel frequently; Preferred Requirements EN 9100 knowledge and EN 9100 approved auditor Previous experience Supplier Quality Engineer within another Aerospace company At SKF we are committed to creating a diverse environment, and we firmly believe that a diverse workforce is essential for our continued success. Some Additional Information This position will be ideally located in Valenciennes (France) or in Villar Perosa (Italy). Other Aero manufacturing sites in France or UK will be considered. Local contract. The position holder reports to BU Aerospace Quality Manager, who is located in US, with dotted line to Aero BU Purchasing, located within EU.
