BUILD BEYOND POSSIBLE, WITH ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING Who we are looking for: As an Application Engineering Specialist at Caracol srl, you will manage technical projects with a focus on integrating Design for Manufacturing (DFM) processes. Your role will ensure efficient planning, meet customer and printing requirements, and drive innovation in 3D printing and manufacturing. Few examples of responsibilities: • Mechanical Design: Develop and design mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards. • Technical Support to Clients: Provide expert technical support to clients, addressing their needs and resolving any issues related to the application of our products. • Parametric 3D Design and Assembly Management: Create parametric 3D models and manage complex assemblies to ensure accurate and efficient production processes. • Drafting and Managing Technical Documentation and Reports: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation and reports, ensuring all project information is accurately recorded and communicated. • Supplier Relations: Manage supplier relations, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Ideal Background: • Diploma or Degree in the Mechanical field • 2 to 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design/Project in Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Industrial background in Aerospace/Automotive sectors is considered a plus. • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM). • Knowledge in 3D CAD modeling, assembly, and advanced design tools. • Knowledge in 2D CAD, GD&T principles, and tolerance analysis for engineering drawings. • Knowledge of parametric 3D modelling (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Solid Edge). • Nice to have: Knowledge of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM). • Strong Communication Skills and ability to work with a team, other departments and external stakeholders. • Problem solving and passion for innovation. • Italian Language proficiency is mandatory. • English Language Level intermediate (B2 at least).
