Zentiva is a pharmaceutical company based in Prague, Czech Republic. The company is developing, manufacturing and marketing a wide range of generic and OTC products. Zentiva employs more than 4,700 people, has several internal production sites as well as partnering with a global network of external contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs). Supply Chain is one of the fundamental functions of Zentiva that are helping to optimize across the commercial triangle of Service, Cost and Capital Employed. The Production Planning Manager role (PPM) as part of Global Supply Chain team plays a crucial role in ensuring that both Zentiva’s customer and patient needs are being met, offering the highest service at competitive cost. The PPM role helps support both strategic and tactical supply decisions (in the short-term) that are being taken across the Zentiva portfolio being produced in the internal production sites. These production supply decisions impact areas that include; planning, capacity utilization, budgeting, management of service, inventory management, launch/transfer coordination and industrial teams ROLE PURPOSE Lead the production planning community across the Global SC network in the short-term horizon (0 – 12mths) Develop global production planning policies (ie. process order management, site schedule adherence & performance management) and ensure capacity planning is managed as per guidance – including RCCP for each of the internal production sites Support to effective WIP inventory management at each of the internal production sites (Note: WIP inventory management responsibility: Inventory Manager) Identify any production supply risks (within the short-term horizon) and proactively mitigate any impact to internal production plans – in close alignment with the internal production site planning teams Maximize customer service by minimizing out of stock situations Increase business profitability by the proactive management of product supply MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Support local production site planning teams to adhere to the Global Supply Network planning strategy and to what is considered as ‘Good Planning Practice’ (ie. proactive works order management, planning parameters adherence, planning data settings & management) Develop production supply strategies based on the latest market outlook; whilst ensuring critical planning KPIs (ie. production plan schedule adherence) continue to be met Support to the Global Supply Review (S&OP) – on all production planning topics within the short-term horizon: Provide response to commercial demand requirements (impacting to internal production sites) Present supply data including: supply commitment from internal production sites, launch/transfer plans, current production supply performance, major supply risks and any future production supply escalations Partner closely with other functions to execute best and smooth production planning practices in the short term horizon – including; planning functions based within the internal production sites, Regional SC Partners, Product Management, Transfers, Launches, M&A Support internal production site planning teams in short-term horizon analysis including LE & Budget generation process, aligned information gathering, planning data validation and production supply constraint Support reductions in complexity: oversee all cross-site production supply constraints in the short term horizon – looking to resolve before they impact to market supply Maintain active connection with all internal production site planning teams on their respective site capabilities to produce. To reach consensus on building production planning scenarios that propose alternatives on how to still maximize company objectives in case of a production capacity constraints (ie. production/pckging de-coupling, MOQ/EOQ, WIP inventory holdings) Support to the regular LE & budget processes by aggregating production supply capacities (in the short-term horizon) into a global view & provide transparency for each of the internal production sites’ supply capability. Connect business planning to tactical planning; with LRP volumes and capacity balancing HARD SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Minimum 6 years experience of production planning and capacity management in regulated industry (preferably generics pharma) or FMCG Experience of production planning across global geographies Good working knowledge of requirement planning and/or MRP Accountability in the planning function and team – ensuring effective process execution as well as knowledge maturity Proven understanding of production planning activities including: min/max capacity management, m/c changeover, clean-downs, maintenance, routings etc Proven understanding of Supply Chain including: demand & stock management, prod/scheduling processes, capacity management, monthly reporting, CMO supply, WH & Logistics, S&OP – KPI tracking etc Proven analytical skills – able to produce data/reports with a high degree of accuracy English: Advanced level (other languages are an advantage) SOFT SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Problem-solver: able to identify issues and implement corrective actions Able to act independently (within a defined area of responsibility) Collaborative mind-set – able to bring people together to get work done Able to build trust – guiding colleagues to create team synergy Reliable – consistently deliver on what they promise Having a customer orientated mind-set Good written/oral communication skills Able to work under pressure, whilst maintaining a clear focus on business objectives Comfortable with elements of ambiguity, not distracted from the required outcome Show more Show less
