We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and business-oriented Head of Energy Transition to become a key driver of our energy transition efforts. You will lead a new Division focused on decarbonization, energy storage, and HVDC connectors, shaping its success. As part of a dynamic international team, you will drive innovation, engage with global partners, and establish a critical Division for the company’s success. Based in Athens or Dubai, you will have the opportunity to travel and collaborate in a fast-paced global environment. You will establish and lead the newly formed Energy Transition Division, focusing on sustainable energy, decarbonization, energy storage, and high-efficiency power systems like HVDC connectors. In the establishment phase, you will define the strategy, secure partnerships, and create the operational framework. In the operational phase, you will oversee project delivery, ensuring financial alignment, quality, compliance, and fostering an innovative, collaborative team culture. Sounds exciting? Read on. What you will need to do: Establishment phase: Develop and implement the Division’s strategy, aligning with the company’s overall sustainability and business goals. Pursue market opportunities to drive growth and establish the Division’s presence in sustainable energy solutions. Develop strategic initiatives to expand market share, such as partnerships with innovators, regulatory bodies, and utilities. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities in clean energy sectors (e.g., energy fuels, decarbonization, energy storage, HVDC systems). Prioritize subproduct (e.g., hybrid energy storage, scalable carbon capture systems) based on their potential impact on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Hold profit and loss accountability for the division, ensuring financial viability and performance as well as drive profitability through strategic investments and operational excellence. Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate very closely and smoothly with the Project, Division and Department leaders of the Group. Build an effective team by providing guidance and coaching to subordinates to act and achieve business goals. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Operational phase: Align operational strategies with growth goals, focusing on emerging markets and high-demand sectors. Lead the implementation of innovative technologies and solutions to accelerate the company’s energy transition objectives. Oversee day-to-day operations within the Energy Transition Division to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with corporate policies. What you will need to have: BSc degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical Engineering while MBA is a strong plus. 15+ years of overall working experience in the Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM market , Renewable Energy (including Energy Services such as energy management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy solutions, and Environmental Services such as water/waste treatment), in either engineering or operational roles. Of this, at least 5 (five) years of operational managerial experience, with a proven record in managing projects , a business unit , a country office , or a region , including full P&L responsibility . Proven track record working with innovative, large-scale projects in Energy Transition technologies, such as decarbonization, alternative fuels like offshore wind and hydrogen, energy storage etc. Strong expertise in operational oversight, resource allocation, and financial management, paired with a commercial mindset to drive profitability and market positioning. Experience in a multinational corporate environment, with a strong understanding of corporate governance principles and management best practices. Deep understanding of engineering and related technical requirements, as well as construction practices in the EPC business. Substantial awareness of the operations of a contracting entity and experience in tender development. Proven experience in developing growth strategies, budgeting, and business planning. Solid knowledge of project management principles. Fluency in English (verbal and written). High mobility to travel across the Group’s activity countries and operations. What it is nice to have: Experience with large-scale projects in countries similar to our operations (Middle East experience is highly advantageous). Prior experience in front-end engineering design, particularly in the Energy Sector (such as feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and risk assessment). Have strong, innovative thinking with the ability to adapt and integrate cutting-edge technologies, to drive energy transition goals and optimize solutions. Is commercially astute with a focus on identifying new business opportunities and translating technical solutions into valuable market propositions. Has strong people skills with the ability to influence and persuade Is flexible and adaptable, with an open mindset, ready to shift thinking and approaches when the situation requires it. Able to manage changing circumstances with ease and resilience. Is highly results-driven, hands-on, decisive, and assertive in executing initiatives and achieving targets. Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering on objectives.
