As the Lead (m/f/d) for Chemical Analytics, you will be at the forefront of our analytical chemistry division. You will lead a team of talented scientists and experts, driving the development and implementation of advanced analytical techniques to support our research and product development projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our chemical analyses, contributing to the success of our innovative products. Main tasks and responsibilities: Management and further development of the team as a competence center for chemical analytics Maintaining and developing suitable structures for management, consulting, decision-making and communication with key partners in the field of chemical analytics within and outside KWS Planning and management of the Group's operations, as well as drivers for the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies, methods, procedures and structures Providing information, support and advice on analytical issues to internal stakeholders as well as national and international authorities (ESTA, BDP, BML) Definition and control of KPIs as well as measures to achieve the set goals Creation and further development of the Group's analytical portfolio as well as initiation of corresponding implementation projects in accordance with KWS's strategic planning Active participation in internal and external project teams and professional representation of analytical expertise on a national and international level Ensuring staffing levels through leadership and development of employees as well as appropriate recruitment Coordination and control of quality processes in the field of certification and accreditation of certain areas of work Preparing and controlling budget and operations Knowledge, skills and experience: PhD or equivalent education in chemistry or a related STEM field Knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines of chemical analytics is an advantage Developed leadership skills and ability to design cross-departmental processes and communicate and implement them practically in international teams Strong results-oriented way of working, based on analytical thinking and solution-oriented attitude Cross-departmental communication and successful change management with an open mind Experience working in and with complex organizations Project management and conceptual skills with initiative and analytical thinking in interdisciplinary issues About KWS: KWS is one of the world’s leading plant breeding companies.
