Role Overview
Cook A is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
Key duties and responsibilities
Overseeing the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure quality and consistency
Supervising and training junior kitchen staff (Cook B and C), providing guidance on food preparation and cooking techniques
Ensuring kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards are met at all times
Monitoring inventory and placing orders for food and kitchen supplies as needed
Assisting in menu planning and recipe development with the Head Chef or Sous Chef
Ensuring the timely and efficient preparation of food during service hours
Maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
Participating in regular staff meetings and contributing to improvements in kitchen operations
Taking responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areas during and after service
Requirements
2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in hospitality, or the luxury industry
Α Degree/Diploma in culinary
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
Good organizational and time management skills.
Very good knowledge of English language.
