The Faculty of Social Sciences at SDU, Sønderborg is looking for academic supervisors

As an academic supervisor, you will mainly be involved with:
-       Individual guidance of students on bachelor studies offered at SDU Sønderborg.
-       The guidance may include individual study plans, stays abroad or stays in a company.
-       Guidance of potential students about the studies and student life at SDU Sønderborg.
-       To hold information and guidance meetings, e.g. about elective subjects, stays abroad or candidate selection. 
-       To help in the introduction days for the new students in the month of August.
-       To help ensure a good study integration for new students with a focus on the 1st and 2nd semester.
-       To help facilitate study groups for the new 1st semester students.
-       To hold proactive guidance conversations with students who have fallen behind with ECTS points
We expect you to:
•    is outgoing.•    exudes commitment, presence and empathy.•    is motivated to lead the students on their way. •    is willing to make an effort to familiarize you thoroughly with the structure of the programme, study programme, subject descriptions etc. •    can collaborate with the other academic advisors in Sønderborg and at SDU.•    is able to separate the job as academic advisor from the role of friend and fellow student. •    has situational awareness and intercultural understanding.

Requirements:
•    We want you to be able to speak, write and understand English and Danish •    You must be enrolled in one of the offered social science bachelor's studies at SDU Sønderborg.

Employment takes place in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the National Association of Student Teachers.
 
Note: For employment as a student assistant or academic supervisor, it is a prerequisite that you are enrolled as a student at SDU.
The application must include a cover letter, CV and exam transcript, which shows how far along you are in your studies at SDU. If you have not yet taken the exam, the application must contain your enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript. All documents in connection with the application should not contain the CPR number – in that case the CPR number must be crossed out.
