Exploration Geologist

Position 1: Exploration geologist

Responsibilities

Safety: adhere to and promote company rules and procedures, as well as government regulation relating to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Data Collection – core logging of skarn, porphyry and epithermal mineralised systems.

Data Analysis: desktop compilation in Micromine of all data sets and discussion of observations with senior geological management.

Planning and review of drill plans: including a holistic interpretation of mapped road cuttings, previous drill data, surface geochemical data and 3d inverted geophysical datasets.

Work and supervision of exploration drilling programs: including supervision of construction of drill pad locations, ensuring drill rig alignment and setup, monitoring drilling progress, core logging, timely reporting of results, interpretation of drill sections, and ensuring proper sampling and QAQC protocols are followed.

Report writing, including periodic project update reports, campaign company reports and assessment reports. Presentation of the results to senior management

Work collaboratively with the Company management, geological and technical staff.

Preferred qualifications, skills and knowledge

BSc / M.Sc. in Geology or Earth Sciences considered an asset.

5 years progressive experience in mineral exploration.

Competence in planning all relevant types of exploration, including geological mapping, soil and rock geochemistry surveys, ground geophysical surveys, mechanical trenching and drilling will be considered as an advantage.

Valid B-level driver’s license. Training and experience in defensive and off-road driving considered an asset but will be provided[MA1].

Good written and verbal communication skills in Serbian and English.

Proficiency using QGIS, MicroMine, IoGAS, and Acquire considered an asset.

Willingness to work on a rotational schedule at our facilities in Raška.

Прикупљање података: картирање скарновских, порфирских и епитермалних минерализација.

Анализа података: кабинетска компилација различитих типова података коришћењем Micromine-а уз разматрање резултата са руководством.

Планирање и преглед планова бушења: свеобухватна интерпретација податак добијених површинским картирањем, претходним бушењем, резултата површинских геохемијских анализа, и резултата тродимензионалне инверзије геофизичких података.

Рад и надзор истрашног бушења: надзор израда платформи, усмеравање и надзор поставки бушећих гарнитура, надзор истражног бушења, картирање језгра, благовремено извештавање о резултатима, интерпретација бушених профила, и контрола примене правила о узорковању и контроли квалитета

Израда повремених извештаја о активностима на пројекту, компанијско извештавање о извршеним
investigative works, and project evaluations. Presentation of results to management.

Cooperation with company management, geologists and technicians.

Desirable qualifications, skills and knowledge

Preference will be given to candidates with a completed undergraduate or master's degree in geology or a related discipline.

5 years of experience and advancement in mineral exploration.

Preference will be given to candidates capable of planning all major exploration activities, including geological mapping, soil and primary sampling, surface geophysical work, mechanical excavation and exploratory drilling.

Valid driver's license category B. Preference will be given to candidates who are trained in off-road and safe driving, but training is provided.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Serbian.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in QGIS, MicroMine, IoGAS and acQuire software packages.

Willingness for shift work in our facility in Raška.
