Do you want to help give the future students on your program the best start to their studies? As coordinating study start tutors, you play a decisive role in creating a good introduction and transition to the university education.

Description for internal candidates
 

We are looking for 1 coordinating tutor for year 2025 at HA, Business Economics SDU Esbjerg.
Main tasks:•    Contribute to preparing and running the planned intro program in week 35•    Help recruit volunteer tutors who are assigned as practical and social support•    Be a role model who supports new students in a positive, inclusive and respectful way•    Ensure coordination with the other actors of the program at the start of the studies
As a co-ordinating study start tutor, you will be employed at the Institute for Business and Sustainability. In your assignment, you will refer to Pernille List, co-ordinator for the start of studies for the Faculty of Social Sciences in Esbjerg, as well as have a close collaboration with the academic supervisor for the programme.
You must apply for the position if•    You have passed the first semester of your degree.•    You have a special drive and commitment to make the start of your studies as good as possible•    You are approachable, can collaborate in a group and give impetus to social initiatives•    You are independent, structured and aware of responsibility•    You like to motivate and support development in other people - and spread good mood•    You dare to ask for help if you are in doubt or need sparring•    You thrive in the teaching role. Previous experience with guidance or teaching is an advantage, but not a prerequisite for applying for the position
The role as coordinating tutor The role as coordinating start-of-study tutor begins with a planning phase from May until the introduction week in August. It is expected that the co-ordinating study start tutor participates actively, prepares his presentations and builds a safe and trusting relationship with his team and the group of volunteer tutors.

Employment interviewsAfter the application deadline, all applications are processed and short employment interviews of approx. 20 minutes Interviews will take place as soon as possible after the application deadline. You will be invited to a possible interview via your SDU student email.
Employment and salary conditions The employment takes place from 1 May 2025. The position is time-limited until 31 September 2025. The coordinating tutor is paid for a total of 45 hours according to the student assistant rate Employment takes place in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the National Union of Student Teachers
