Occupational Safety and Health Officer (OHS)

Job Description: 

Preparation of complete documentation for OSH for each construction site, which includes an Elaborate on the arrangement of the construction site and reporting the works to the labor inspection. If necessary, preparation of a plan of preventive measures.  

Conducts and participates in the risk assessment procedure;

Participates in the development of employee training programs for safe and healthy work

Performs control and makes suggestions to the employer in planning, selection, use and maintenance of work equipment, chemical substances and personal protective equipment;

Organizes preventive and periodic examinations of working environment conditions;

Organizes preventive and periodic inspections and checks of work equipment and inspections and tests of electrical and lightning protection installations;

Proposes measures to improve working conditions, especially at workplaces with increased risk;

Monitors and controls the implementation of safety and health measures at work in accordance with the organization of safety and health at work at the employer;

Monitors the situation related to work injuries and occupational diseases, as well as work-related diseases, participates in determining their causes and prepares reports with proposed measures for their elimination;

Organizes and conducts training of employees and other persons in accordance with this law,

Prepares instructions for safe and healthy work and controls their application;

Cooperates with employee representatives on all issues in the field of safety and health at work at the employer;

Keeps records in the field of safety and health at work for the employer

Prohibits work at the workplace or the use of work equipment, in the event that it determines an immediate danger to the life or health of the employee and suspends work on the work equipment until the observed defects are eliminated during the inspection and check of the work equipment from Article 15, paragraph 4 of this law, prescribes the penalties provided for by law;

Keeps records in the field of safety and health at work for the employer;

Monitors changes in regulations and harmonizes employer acts, monitors standards and technical progress in the field of occupational safety and health.

Communicates with the labor inspectorate.

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal regulations, standards and internal policies in the field of occupational safety.

Control of the correctness and regular maintenance of equipment, machines and installations that affect safety at work.

Preparation of reports for management on the state of safety at work and proposing measures to improve the system.

Control of the fulfillment of obligations by contractors and subcontractors in terms of safety and health at work on construction sites or other places of work.

Monitoring of new laws, regulations and technological solutions in the field of safety and health at work and implementation of relevant improvements

 Field work that includes a tour of the construction site, control of works and workers from the aspect of OSH, communication with supervision, the investor and other participants in the project.

Qualifications:

Necessary license/certificate for occupational safety and health

Experience in work in occupational safety and health.

Desirable: passed the exam for project development coordinator and execution coordinator.

Excellent knowledge of legal regulations and standards in the field of OSH.

Willingness to continuously improve and follow new trends in the field of OSH.
