The North-Hungarian Water Administration (ÉMVIZIG) is a water management body under the control of the Minister of Energy. Its operational area covers the entire area of ​​Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and Heves counties, as well as parts of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg counties, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Nógrád counties, with its headquarters in Miskolc. In its area of ​​operation, the Board carries out the tasks of flood and inland water protection, water damage prevention, and water quality damage prevention, as well as the maintenance, operation and development of the water facilities under its management, the regulation, bed maintenance and coastal protection of the state-owned watercourses, backwaters and natural standing waters under its management. The Hydrographic and Data Repository Department is announcing a tender for the position of monitoring officer. Tasks: performance of engineering tasks: production of hydrological data processing (water level and water flow time series), conducting statistical studies and training of statistical data, production of basic data for water resources management, performance of data services, implementation of longitudinal and territorial control of data series, up-to-date maintenance of databases and records, preparation of case files, expert opinions, performance of tasks related to measuring devices and telemetry systems, performing tasks related to the quality management system. What we ask for: higher education (preferably civil engineer, environmental engineer, geographer), user-level knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word), knowledge of GIS software, ability to act, criminal record (a moral certificate is an essential condition for establishing a legal relationship). Competencies required for the performance of the task: accuracy, technical acumen, organizing and organizing skills, good written and communication skills, ability to work independently, sense of responsibility, initiative. Advantages: at least category B driver's license, driving experience, water management or water technician qualification, hydrodynamic modeling knowledge and practice, expertise in preparing expert opinions and document management, knowledge and use of hydrographic database management programs, experience in applying the quality management system, English and/or Slovak language skills.
