We are looking for a committed and research-interested senior physician for the Department of Spinal Cord Injury at Rigshospitalet. About the section The Section for Spinal Cord Injury belongs to the Department for Brain and Spinal Cord Injury, which is part of Rigshospitalet's Neurocentre. We handle the highly specialized rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries from all over Eastern Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The department is located in the Bodil Eskesen Center at Rigshospitalet Glostrup and has 43 beds spread over three units. Every year we receive 80-100 new patients for long-term rehabilitation courses, and we offer lifelong outpatient follow-up. We have a close collaboration with neurologists, spine surgeons, hand surgeons, urologists as well as national and international research environments. Clinical research is closely integrated into everyday life, and we work actively to develop new treatment methods, including telemedicine solutions and advanced intervention options. We are looking for a senior doctor with specialist training in neurology, experience as a specialist doctor at least 5 years upon joining Preferably experience with advanced treatment of spasticity as well as broad clinical experience within the treatment and rehabilitation of neurological disorders Documented interest in research and development, e.g. a PhD and experience with clinical studies and publications in recognized journals Good collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to a positive and dynamic working environment The ability to work structured and independently in a complex organization Your tasks and responsibilities As As a senior physician with us, you will: Participate in the daily clinical work with the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injury Contribute actively to the department's research activities and development Support the department's teaching efforts, including guidance of junior doctors and interdisciplinary staff Work closely with the department's other specialists to ensure high quality and continuity in the patient processes Participate in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary conferences as well as development projects within the area We offer a position in a highly specialized environment in rapid development with strong research opportunities Opportunity for influence, responsibility and a good working environment, where you make a real difference for some of neurology's most complex patients Professional and personal development through participation in both national and international collaborations A committed and interdisciplinary team that values high professionalism, innovation and job satisfaction Good opportunities for further training as well as participation in courses and conferences Employment conditions The position is a full-time position with on-call from home and weekend study approx. every 8 weeks.
