A&M Architects is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineer with cost management and quantity surveying experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contributing to all aspects of cost control and procurement for small to large scale projects. Our new member addition should demonstrate communication skills to efficiently collaborate with their team members as well as clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for architectural projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising design integrity.
Conduct procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation and contract administration
Monitor project costs, track expenses.
Produce regular reports on procurement status and identify areas of improvement
Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders
Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, standards, and contractual obligations.
Evaluate variations and changes to projects, providing accurate cost implications.
Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards and regulations
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within an architectural or construction firm.
Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and project estimation.
Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
