Job Description
Do you have a keen interest in the USAR/rescue field? Do you like working with volunteers? Are you good at communicating in writing and speaking? Do you thrive with a variety of tasks - both operative and administrative? Then this is the position you should apply for. About us The position is located at the Emergency Management Agency in the capital city, which in collaboration with the Emergency Management Agency in Zealand supports the municipal emergency services east of the Great Belt and other public authorities and companies with emergency response responsibility. We are the training center for over 280 volunteers who undergo extensive training and form part of the emergency response centre's emergency response force. The Emergency Management Agency in the capital is also a course institution for, among other things, rescue services, police and other public authorities with responsibility for emergency response. The Norwegian Emergency Management Agency in the capital has 34 permanent employees and a large number of part-time teachers from all parts of the emergency services. The emergency center participates annually in approx. 150 national efforts and also participates in the vast majority of the Emergency Management Agency's international efforts. About the position You basically have the main tasks listed below, but you can also help develop the job yourself. We solve the tasks in an informal, positive and open environment, where overall understanding and respect for each other's work areas is important. You will work together with both uniformed and civilian colleagues (volunteers and permanent employees). You are our specialist in the area of rescue (USAR) and you support our voluntary USAR unit with, among other things, to be a point of contact/link for the volunteers in relation to administration and quality assurance of equipment within the subject area. In collaboration with your colleague in the rescue dog field, you ensure a high professional level in the field. You make up our "Professional Rescue Group". Together with the voluntary unit management, you prepare half-yearly target descriptions for the unit, which must ensure the development of the unit and our overall preparedness. You handle the preparation and follow-up of training within the subject area, including unit activities; e.g. with ordering premises and teaching facilities, catering, material and not least instructors. You are a master instructor in the field of rescue. You support, guide and help other instructors within the subject area. You must be part of our preparedness in relation to your competences, including as duty officer (VHBM), vessel master on shallow water vessels and HazMat specialist. As a VHBM, you get approx. three 24-hour shifts per month. It will be about a flexible working time organization with the freedoms this also provides. The volunteers most often have activities outside normal working hours, so you must be prepared for part of your working time to be outside normal working hours, including in the evenings and weekends - which means that you will have time off at a different time. About you You have solid experience in the field of rescue and preferably training and teaching experience from the Norwegian Emergency Management Agency or the municipal emergency services. We would like to see that you have completed the Emergency Management Agency's sergeant training or are prepared to take the training. On the whole, you thrive on continuously developing your skills. You meet several of the following requirements: You are "passionate" about the field of rescue and have great professionalism here. You have a very high degree of flexibility and can navigate independently in a busy and changeable everyday life. You are outgoing and can communicate positively and constructively with many different business partners. You guarantee a respectful dialogue and you work well in a team. You want to work with volunteers and trainees and are passionate about giving them a good service and tasks in the emergency department. You have an eye for detail and can at the same time maintain an overview, including with the more administrative matters (with support from the administrative staff at the centre) You are disciplined, systematic and thorough with your work and respect result requirements and deadlines. You can pass the defense's basic physical requirements. Terms of employment The position is a senior sergeant position on collective agreement terms. Salary etc. is regulated by the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Central Organization of Teachers and CO10 – the Central Organization of 2010 and the Organizational Agreement between the Ministry of Defense's Personnel Board and the Central Association for Stamp Personnel of the line and the reserve as well as students in the Ministry of Defense with associated authorities, and addendum of 6 January

When applying for a new position in the National Emergency Management Agency under the Ministry of Social Security, negotiation of personal allowances must be included in the employment procedure in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Your permanent place of duty is Hedehusene. As an employee of the National Emergency Management Agency, you are covered by some special conditions. Among other things, you must be able to obtain security clearance and maintain security clearance during the entire employment process. Contact and application You can get further information by contacting section head Michael Rasmussen (tel. [phone removed]) or senior sergeant Jeppe Dahlin (tel. [phone removed]) if you want to know more about the position. If you have questions about salary and employment conditions, you can contact HR consultant Mette Sihm at the Ministry of Defense's Personnel Board on telephone [phone removed] or by email [email protected] If you are covered by a local service plan or have been appointed to participate in international operations, you must draw attention to this in your application. Application deadline is 3 April 2025. Interviews are expected to be held in week [phone removed]. The position is to be filled on 1 May 2025 or as soon as possible.
