We’re looking for an Associate Manager to join our growing sustainability reporting team! Nordic Sustainability is a strategy consultancy on a mission to help companies succeed and people thrive within planetary boundaries. We are now looking for an experienced professional to join our ESRS team to support our clients on their sustainability reporting journey. Join a forward-thinking company committed to sustainable business transformation. We are seeking an Associate Manager (minimum 5 years of relevant experience required). Most of your experience should be from consulting clients in the private sector. To thrive in this role, you require both supervisory abilities and an understanding of sustainability reporting. Your responsibilities Towards clients Collaborate with leading companies to design and implement comprehensive sustainability reporting approaches aligned with the ESRS requirements. Lead or contribute to double materiality assessments to support clients in aligning their operations with European and global reporting frameworks. Take ownership of key client relationships and projects and build trust through your expertise and high-quality deliverables. Identify ways to grow the business, manage proposal writing, and develop new offerings connected to Nordic Sustainability’s other knowledge areas. Internally Work close with the Senior Manager and Team Lead of the ESRS team to align on the team’s strategy and facilitate effective project delivery. Step into a position within the team, support team members and set directions for their work. Ensure high-quality results, especially within service offerings for ESRS-based double materiality and data gap assessments. Mentor junior team members to assist them in growing their technical abilities and consulting skills. Your background A solid background in sustainability reporting is necessary for this role. This includes (but is not limited to) an advanced technical understanding of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the ESRS. Knowledge about the GRI, ISSB standards and the EU Taxonomy is beneficial. A background in consulting with experience in delivering advisory services to diverse clients in complex environments is essential To thrive in this role, we believe that you: You are capable of assisting the Team Lead and Senior Manager in managing initiatives and providing support to the team if required. You have the skills to handle different projects, meet deadlines, and ensure client satisfaction. You have analytical skills and the ability to find innovative solutions in sustainability reporting practices. You have proficiency in delivering effective presentations, reports, and proposals. Fluency in English, knowledge of other European languages. Your mindset You live sustainably and seek to understand what measures organizations and individuals can take for the needed societal transition. You are organised and detail-oriented, with a proficient ability to keep track of deadlines. You are motivated and willing to share your thoughts on how to improve sustainability reporting practices. You are patient and understand interpersonal dynamics well. You thrive on teamwork and take steps to explore tasks and move projects forward.
