An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bakery Technologist Engineer to join our Lantmännen Unibake team at our bakery in Pantelimon, Ilfov. In this role, you will create, develop, and deliver new bakery products. This Is What You Will Do Create/Adapt formulas, specifications, processing procedures, and any other technical material that allow for consistent and reliable execution of the bakery products; Maintain proper documentation on product formulations, testing, and evaluation of products; Work closely with Production team to deliver these new product opportunities within the production environment, including how the new products can be manufactured to key operational throughput, efficiency, cost and waste parameters and the scheduling, resourcing, and managing of production trials; Collaborate with Technical and Quality teams to ensure the product specifications and new raw material specifications are established and agreed for each new launch; Collaborate with Purchasing team to ensure the right raw materials / packaging are sourced, to the right quality parameters and costs; Work closely with ingredients and equipment suppliers to ensure we are up to date with the technical developments within the industry and are incorporating the right solutions within the products we create and develop; Collaborate with Unibake International and other cluster / countries for sharing knowledge and best practice. , This Is What You Need To Succeed University Degree in Food Science, Product Development, or equivalent Fluent in Romanian and English Solid experience in product development in a regulated food industry, ideally the bakery sector Good commercial skills – ability to develop business cases, understand costs, margins, investments, paybacks, and exchange rates. Also, ability to understand market potential and customer needs Operational skills – being able to understand how to practically make a product on the line to the right quality, cost, waste, and operational efficiency parameters. Good working knowledge with food safety management systems HACCP / BRC / IFS / ISO 9001 Experience in project management Good knowledge and experience of working with key MS Office packages Your “power skills”: Efficient communications and presentation skills with ability to influence both external customers and internally – at all levels and across functions Self starter with drive and tenacity Team player – enjoys working across multiple functions Creative with a desire to develop innovative products and solutions Passion for baking / love of great bread Place of work: 119B-119C, Cernica street, Pantelimon, Ilfov Sounds interesting?
