The Job As our very first Business & Forecasting Analyst – Energy at Milence, you will play a key role in analyzing and forecasting energy consumption data, as well as costs and margins, at both country and site levels across our charging network . Your work will deliver actionable insights to guide decision-making and improve energy efficiency. You will forecast energy usage for existing and future European sites, identify organizational energy needs, design efficient solutions, and implement initiatives to optimize energy management—including cost and margin optimization. Your contributions will directly support Milence’s mission to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability. Collaborating closely with teams such as Digital, Data Analysis, Technology, Procurement, and Finance, your efforts will enhance the experience of electric truck drivers while optimizing energy usage across our network. This role reports to the Head of Energy. Your responsibilities include: Analyze energy consumption data, costs, and margins at both country and site levels to provide actionable insights that improve energy efficiency. Monitor and optimize energy margins by location and country, offering recommendations for improvement. Develop accurate forecasting models to predict energy consumption across multiple time horizons (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, annually). Support the Head of Energy and Network teams by identifying opportunities to source local renewable energy . Collaborate with Digital, Data Analysis, and Technology teams to develop tools, dashboards, and software solutions for tracking energy performance. Create and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time data visualization and performance monitoring. Develop and implement efficient processes to manage energy operations effectively. At Milence, your job title will be Business Analyst. Who are we looking for? Master’s degree in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics) or equivalent professional experience. At least 5 years of experience in analytical or quantitative roles , ideally as a Business or Forecasting Analyst. Proven expertise in the energy sector , with a strong understanding of forecasting, analysis, and energy-related processes. Proficiency in PowerBI . Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in additional European languages is an advantage. A genuine passion for sustainability . Ability to explain complex information to diverse stakeholders and provide clear, practical recommendations. A creative mindset and proactive problem-solving skills, with experience managing projects independently. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in forecasting and analysis.
