Job Overview To deliver best-in-class service we are empowering our Cybersecurity Team with a Business Continuity Senior Specialist. The new team member will be reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and will manage and coordinate the overall set of Business Continuity activities at OverIT. As a cross-department resource, you will work closely with several corporate divisions to identify potential risks, plan for contingencies, and maintain a robust continuity strategy that minimizes downtime and data loss. Key Responsibilities Develop and Implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Strategy Identify critical business functions, services, and processes related to the cloud infrastructure, defining recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs). Perform Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to assess the risks and potential impacts of operational disruptions on software delivery. Identify and evaluate risks related to cloud infrastructure, data loss, service outages, and cybersecurity incidents. Collaborate with the IT dpt, cloud service providers, and cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies against potential risks. Develop and execute testing plans, including tabletop exercises, simulations, and full-scale continuity tests to validate the effectiveness of the BCDR plans by ensuring their regular review and update Monitor and assess emerging risks, always being on top of new threats, technologies, and best practices, and implementing improvements to continuity plans Define and document procedures for disaster recovery, ensuring that recovery solutions meet compliance and regulatory requirements for data availability and security. Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cloud service teams to integrate business continuity into the overall software deployment and infrastructure management processes. Work with internal stakeholders (engineering, customer support, legal, etc.) to ensure continuity plans align with organizational goals and customer service-level agreements (SLAs). Lead the response during actual incidents or disruptions acting as the point of contact for any business continuity-related issues and managing communication with both internal and external stakeholders during an incident. Develop and deliver business continuity training programs for employees to raise awareness of continuity planning and disaster recovery processes. Lead compliance and audit management, ensuring that business continuity and disaster recovery practices comply with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, SOC 2, etc.). Requirements and Skills Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or risk management, preferably in a software or cloud environment. Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and service delivery models (e.g., SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and previous experience in the management of disaster recovery for cloud solutions. Bold expertise in developing, implementing, and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and SaaS model application Experience with Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessment methodologies. Knowledge of compliance requirements and industry standards related to business continuity (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, SOC 2).
