Consideration for the size, scale and geographical reach of AFEMEA and ASC (28 countries, 65 sites out of which 47 are in Europe mainland) will be key to the success of this role, along with key drivers such as TCO, best practise, market trend analysis as well as major suppliers’ business models. This individual will have time served experience of the category which must include having led a multi-site transformation on MRO and/or FM categories. Along with strong interpersonal skills to ensure we gain key stakeholder buy in from the start. They will be able to bring their expertise to contribute on significant progress on the MRO/FM toward the overall procurement transformation strategy: Outsourcing, Centralisation, Digitalisation. Along with the above, this individual has a procurement need to deliver sustainable business results, including financial savings (EBIT impact), supply assurance, quality, service and innovation. They will contribute to the overall One Procurement strategy, principles and policies. They will work within and alongside a strong team of individuals. Understanding of Amcor values and aligning and building on the best practice approach is key. JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPE Financial: Annual spend of €182m (Europe €158m): MRO: €79m (Europe €64m) and FM: €103 (Europe €94m) Process: Spend bundling to preferred Suppliers, re-tender and Integration with major players able to support deep transformations waves. The expectation is to continuously push deeper the spend integration to a restricted number of suppliers Scope: MRO category: Standard Spares, Nonstandard & OEM spares, repairs, industrial gases, warehouse equipment, lab equipment and supplies, tooling (except print forms) FM category: Cleaning, guarding, catering, landscaping, pest control, statutory checks, utilities and building maintenance, production assets maintenance Geographical spread: First priority Europe: 47 sites / 15 countries. Supervision of locally managed spend for the sites outside Europe Direct Reports: 1 buyer MRO + 1 buyer FM + 1 Analyst (vacant, search in progress) Principal Accountabilities Lead transformation processes with the objective of Outsourcing, Centralisation, Digitalisation for the FM and MRO categories. Tails spend to be effectively addressed thanks to strong partnership with key partners. Coordinate and drive tender processes, negotiations and project implementation through a structured methodology and project planning. Ensure suppliers contract are recorded, managed and maintained / renewed as required to support the strategy Work closely with the Procurement Operations team and sites/BU stakeholders to develop and implement effective ways of managing and improving procurement processes and methodology. Cooperate with the other categories leaders, most particularly with Capex and Utilities, to leverage on all potential synergies. Organise and monitor the demand management exercises, as full part of the Transformation, to ensure synergy development and standardisation whenever possible (TCO) Identify improvement opportunities within the category accounts, along with purchasing gaps. Utilise market knowledge gained through industry, supplier and competitive analyses Follow the standards with respect to purchasing and ensure consistency with Amcor values and policy Report as required by the Procurement organisation, financial organisation, Business Units and sites Participate in cross functional steering committee meetings as required, to review, assess and support progress. Ensure reporting accordingly. Develops budgets and targets based on aggressive, well founded, realistic, forward oriented goals Ensure that financial resource allocation is cost-effective and aligned with strategic and operational plans MAJOR CHALLENGES & COMPLEXITIES Internal relationships Sites & BU Stakeholders: reluctancy to operate change on non-core activities, prioritization of relevant actions for the category among many other initiatives (limited resource) Finance: savings calculation and approval on the Global Savings Tracking Tool (GSTT) Reporting and ad hoc engagement with PMT and Exec team members Build the internal network, required to navigate on a complex matrix organisation, establish trustable communication. External relationships Suppliers’ selections: tenders, value proposition assessment, services offers Suppliers’ management: negotiation, claims resolutions. Build fair and strong relationship with suppliers and obtain access to senior sales managers Qualifications/Requirements Formal Qualifications and Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, in a company with a mature procurement organization. Positive transformation experience in the FM and/or MRO categories within multiples industrial sites on an international matrix organisation. University degree level education Additional procurement qualifications desirable Specific Skills and Abilities Experiences in category FM/MRO Transformation Experiences in the selection, preparation and execution of commercial agreements, relevant to the materials items and services being sourced Demonstrated understanding at an operational level, interacting with other functions Effective participation in multi-functional work – projects cross-functional teams in an international environment.
