Data Engineer Job Spec: As a Data Engineer, you will strengthen the clients Data Delivery function within the area of Data & Analytics. You have a key role in the success of data product deliveries in the client. Working within the agile Data Delivery teams, you will develop new and maintain existing data integration into data platform on AWS for Finance, Compliance, and Risk You will be developing high-quality and efficient data pipelines on the Bank’s new AWS-based Data Platform, as an integral part of our “Data & Analytics” team. You collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Data Analysts, other Data Engineers, Business Intelligence developers and Product Owners to develop features through the Agile Release Trains. Key Responsibilities: Develop and support data pipelines on Bank’s AWS-based Data Platform. Transform designs and requirements into efficient, easily maintainable, and reusable code. Automate as much as possible, from CI/CD pipelines to testing and to data quality. Collaborate with, help, and support team members and other stakeholders. Participate in the Solution Design process. As we strive to work according to DevOps practices, you will share the responsibility with the rest of the team for making sure that our solutions are developed, tested, deployed and run well. Develop Bank’s common Enterprise Data Warehouse platform (iData)based on Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle database Design secure and reliable workflows for staging, cleansing and loading with high performance Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, processes and products as input to solution specifications of a development task Design secure and reliable workflows for staging, cleansing and loading with high performance Populate ODS and data marts with quality data for use with BI solutions Maintain existing solutions Investigate and resolve reported defects. Support data quality routines Must Have experience/expertise: Having experience working with data engineering and Redshift Datawarehouse development Experience with data technologies in AWS, i.e. S3, Python, IAM, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Spark, Redshift, Airflow etc Capable to conceptualize complex technical issues Ability to understand data from business context Desirable Experience: Experience in data modelling, particularly for Data Warehouses, is highly advantageous Experience in the banking industry is an advantage. Experience in the technology of our current data platform technologies (Oracle RDBMS and Informatica) is an advantage Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe Show more Show less
