Embedded SW Engineer – Senior Embedded SE Engineer for microwave backhaul product development Responsibilities: Develop firmware for wireless communication systems and RF devices Create drivers and interfaces for RF transceivers, digital front-end components and modems Develop test frameworks for firmware validation Debug firmware using lab equipment and RF testing tools Optimize firmware performance for RF systems Collaborate on system integration with hardware teams Verify operation of wireless systems in lab environment using RF and communication measurement equipment Qualifications & Competencies: Preferred: 5+ years experience in embedded systems development, preferred for wireless devices Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux (Ubuntu) style platforms Knowledge of low-level communication protocols and HW interfaces (like SPI, GPIO, UART…) Experience with microcontroller development tools Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities Experience with version control systems (GIT) Excellent written and verbal communication in English Eager to learn new skills and understand highly complex communication systems Ability to work in a team environment with multiple groups and locations with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment. Nice to have: Python scripting skills for test automation Understanding of RF systems and wireless communications principles Familiarity with RF test equipment Lab testing skills using communication test equipment (ex. Packet analyzer, RF test equipment) Understanding of digital wireless communication system functional blocks Basic knowledge of Layer 2/Ethernet functions Basic understanding of digital signal processing Show more Show less
