Role Overview: As our Embedded System Engineer at Lensor, you will play a pivotal role in continuously improving and extending our innovative vehicle inspection solution by working on embedded systems that control our mechatronics. You will bring fresh ideas to the table and transform new business concepts into actionable technical requirements. Working within a small, agile team allows you to tackle a diverse set of challenges across both front and back-end development. What You’ll Do: Translate Business Ideas: Convert new business concepts into detailed technical specifications and actionable development plans. Develop & Test Code: Design, develop, and test well-structured code optimized for performance, ensuring reliability in production environments 24/7. User Interface Implementation: Create and optimize user interfaces for our customer portal, enhancing user experience and functionality. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance practices and integrate coding standards with automated checking tools. Continuous Deployment: Deploy updates regularly and iterate based on user and stakeholder feedback. Collaborative Development: Work closely with team members to maintain high-quality standards throughout the development cycle. Who You Are: Background in Back-End Engineering in Production : Solid experience working with embedded systems within Mechatronics/Robotics, especially in production environments. 4+ Years of Python Experience : Proven experience and proficiency in Python Hardware Integration Experience : Comfortable working with hardware, particularly in integrating HW sensors with Python code. Version Control Proficiency : Skilled in using code management tools, especially GitHub CI/CD Pipeline Setup : Experienced in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Software Testing Knowledge : Strong understanding of testing practices and lifecycle best practices in software development. Linux OS : Familiarity with Linux OS (setting up services, understanding core principles behind drivers etc.) is a plus.
