A multi-international consultancy company are seeking Field Supervision Engineers to join our team on an exciting HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) project in East Africa, involving both new installations and refurbishment work . Role Overview: As a Field Supervision Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of HVDC construction, installation, and commissioning activities. You will oversee field operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical supervision and leadership on HVDC project sites. Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of the project. Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and procedures. Updating as built drawings and O&M manuals. Conduct inspections, testing, and quality assurance for HVDC systems. ensuring all major punch list items are completed before on-line commissioning starts. ensuring all minor punch list items are completed before the final acceptance certificate is issued. Maintain detailed documentation, including daily progress reports, inspection records, and quality control logs. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or related field. Minimum 15+ years of experience in high-voltage projects (HVDC experience preferred). Previous experience in site supervision of large-scale and complex HVDC substation projects. Familiarity with international standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work in challenging field environments.
