For our client, a well-known company, an experienced renewable energy producer, we are looking for a Grid Connection Specialist for the office in Constanta or Bucharest, Job Purpose: The Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment Specialist is responsible for monitoring all projects from an HSE perspective and ensuring best practices and lessons learned are tracked and implemented over the entire portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the monitoring and control plan for OHS and Fire Safety, environment and Quality Assurance documents; Ensure the project’s compliance with environmental legislation, OHS, and Fire Safety, as well as obtaining the regulatory acts in this regard; Perform periodic HSE audits, risk assessments, and on-site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with management plans, laws, regulations, and internal standards; Liaise with all stakeholders (including regulatory authorities and external consultants) to manage and report on HSE compliance. Monitor and analyze HSE performance values and report on the progress to senior management; Working with the project team and technical team, as well as other group collaborators, proactively identify and explore opportunities to deliver results to the highest standards of HSE and quality; Provide HSE training and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety and quality control; Provide HSE and QA contributions in internal reporting; Track and monitor, report for the purpose of assuring the quality of work execution and site documentation; Stay updated with new legislation, standards, and best practices in HSE management and incorporate them into the company’s policies and procedures. Involvement in the management activities of various projects, together with the technical teams, according to the needs. Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of experience in an HSE management technical role, with a strong preference for experience in international projects and familiarity with IFC, EBRD frameworks. Experience of working on large infrastructure projects in the power sector or /renewable energy or other relevant industry sector Education โ€“ A bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Environmental Management, Safety, Engineering, or related technical field Ability to travel frequently to site (Romania, Bulgaria) Advanced knowledge of construction industry practices, relevant HSE legislation, regulatory agency requirements and general industry standards. Fluency in English and Romanian (both written and spoken) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to strict deadlines Demonstrated commitment to high professional, ethical standards and a diverse workplace Professional certifications such as H&S Specialist or and Environmental Reponsible certification Strong knowledge of local, national (Romanian) and international EHS regulations and standards Show more Show less
