Introduction Engaging as business partner and category manager for indirect procurement you will interface with the global business areas on our Indirect procurement activities. This role will specifically support categories such as HR, Marketing, Meetings/Events, Finance, Legal, Consultancy and Travel. You will be located in Brno in Czech Republic. The FLSmidth Group is embarking on a journey to explore divestment opportunities for FLSmidth Cement. The role of category manager will be instrumental in building up the indirect procurement department and shaping the overall strategy for the global procurement integration. Your Responsibilities Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement value-added activities with business needs Category Strategy Development: Formulate and execute strategic sourcing plans for global use Supplier Management: Establish sustainable relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of goods and services Cost Management: Drive cost reductions through effective contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, supplier innovation and best-practice initiatives Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand industry trends, supplier capabilities, and cost structures Performance Reporting: Prepare reports on spend analysis, KPIs and supplier performance metrics FLSmidth Cement is in the forefront of the global green transition in cement production – the clear objective to shape a sustainable future, while at the same time position the company for future growth. What You Bring Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change within the organization Negotiation Skills: Holds strong negotiation skills to increase profitability, reduce risk and improve commercial terms Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends related to assigned categories Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles & ability to analyze cost structures & complex data Analytical Skills: Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and make informed decision Project Management: Ability to manage cost-out projects and deliver results within specified timelines Technical/Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Office, Oracle & PBI Language Skills: Fluent English Please note, all CV’s, resumes, and cover letters must be submitted in English.
