EXERGY are the developers, engineers and producers of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems, with the innovative, pioneering Radial Outflow Turbine. ORC systems are used for power production from renewable energy sources, including biomass, solar, geothermal energy and waste heat recovery. They perform with greater efficiency and flexibility than traditional Rankine cycle and operate under diverse conditions. EXERGY undertake the development and manufacturing process of the ORC turbine and plant internally. This includes R&D, testing, engineering, project management and after-sales service. EXERGY is part of China’s TICA GROUP, an international high-tech group with annual turnover of approx 900 million EUR with more than 3.000 employees across the globe. https://www.exergy-orc.com/it/ https://youtu.be/OOrJKgmbD1M We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Product Development Engineer who will be involved in company’s R&D activities, developing new product lines from conceptual to prototype or optimizing existing products, working within the product development team together with the external partners and in synergies with sales, engineering and operations teams. The candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate technical skills and innovative-thinking within the Product Development department, reporting directly to the Product Development Director. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Calculation of heat and material balances of power plants & heating/refrigeration plants – Thermodynamic design of Shell & Tubes heat exchangers – Sets / designs process and thermodynamic features of the main plant static and rotating equipment – Determination of the plant performance & cost – Development of the plant process and automation control philosophies – Coordination of external partners in European funded projects They will work within the Product Development team pursuing the company’s innovation and technical development. They will collaborate with different departments and external parties: the engineering team for the detailed engineering and prototype manufacturing, with the sales department to assist proposals of new product lines and in preliminary market analysis, with partner companies and academic researchers, in a multicultural and highly stimulating environment, for an advanced development program. REQUIREMENTS – Master degree in energy or mechanical engineering – Passion for renewable energy, power plants and heat pumps – Driven by a desire for technical innovation – Analytical skills and problem solving abilities – Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of process simulators – Basic knowledge of Autocad 2D or similar – Communication skills to promote team working – Availability for short business trips – Fluent Italian and English languages (spoken and written) are mandatory – Master thesis or work experience related to heat pumps or thermo-mechanical energy storage are a plus L’offerta di lavoro si intende rivolta all’uno e all’altro sesso in ottemperanza al D.Lgs. 198/2006 Show more Show less
