Experience (from 2 to 4 years): Previous experience as a Structural Engineer, preferably within the Offshore Oil and Gas industry. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in structural calculation software and numerical simulation, with demonstrated expertise in: Implementing FE (Finite Element) models using consistent measurement units. Prescribing boundary conditions (e.g., displacement, rotation, temperatures). Selecting appropriate element types to accurately represent structural behavior. Applying load histories (e.g., force, pressure) to reflect realistic conditions. Choosing appropriate calculation methodologies for simulations (static, dynamic, linear, non-linear, etc.). Software Skills: FEM simulation: Proficiency in ANSYS and GENIE. 2D Modeling: Proficiency in AutoCAD. 3D Modeling: Experience with Autodesk Inventor. Naval Structural Engineering Knowledge: In-depth understanding of structural theory and practice in ship design, including: Hull girder strength (longitudinal and transverse). Pressure hull design and dynamic load management (e.g., slamming). Plates, shells, and adherence to classification society standards. Construction and Installation Knowledge: Basic understanding of hull construction processes, fabrication techniques, and installation practices for offshore structures. Industry Standards: Familiarity with specifications, codes, and standards relevant to the Oil & Gas and Shipbuilding industries. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
