You’ll perform laboratory experiments, analyse tissues and body fluids, blood tests, immunological, and molecular biological analyses. You’ll maintain laboratory equipment, organise screening material and perform all laboratory tests following strict control and safety protocols Due to the hazardous nature of the substances present in a veterinarian laboratory, along with the need to keep the analysis environment aseptic, this role requires special care in following strict safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, gowns, protective goggles. In addition you’ll… Prepare equipment and materials to conduct experiments (solutions, calibration and validation of reading machines) Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on material samples Discuss results and additional test required with Senior Technician Qualifications/Experience You’re either a Laboratory Technician or a Laboratory Researcher, and you have a Degree in a Biology, Biotechnology or Pharmacology. You have strong experience in laboratory practices, such as analysis and testing activities, or calibration, maintenance and sterilisation of equipment. You have the maximum respect for people and animals. You’re able to well work alone under instruction from the Senior Laboratory Technician. You have strong attention to detail and strict control and safety protocols. You’re a great team-player, you’re flexible and supportive, you’re like to help your colleagues. Good communications skills are essential, you’re fluent in Italian and can read and write in English. Location/Benefits: This role is being offered as a 9-12 months fixed term contract, however this could be extended. This is a full-time position, working 8hrs a day, 5 days a week (either 08:30-17:00 or 09:30 to 18:00). There is some requirement for overtime. We’re based in Desio MB.
