Lead Developer โ€“ PHP Location: Helsinki, Finland (Hybrid Work Option) Salary: Up to 6000 EUR/month + Annual Bonus (5%) Language: Finnish fluency required We are seeking a talented Lead Developer with a strong background in PHP and Symfony to join our team in Helsinki. In this role, you will take ownership of key technology decisions, mentor team members, and drive the development of high-quality, scalable software solutions. Your Responsibilities Work closely with the DMS development team to design, implement, and maintain robust software solutions using PHP and Symfony. Build and optimize RESTful APIs and front-end integrations to ensure performance and scalability. Design, implement, and manage MySQL databases with AWS services such as RDS. Take responsibility for technology choices, ensuring high performance for DMS solutions. Perform code reviews and uphold standards for code quality, testing, and automation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Provision and manage AWS services using CloudFormation or CDK. Utilize CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, to streamline and automate deployments. Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and enhancing team capabilities. Support and maintain production systems, including legacy platforms. What You Bring Extensive experience in full-stack web development with PHP and Symfony. Strong skills in database design and optimization, particularly with MySQL. Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure management. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies. Experience with testing frameworks and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus. A track record of maintaining production-critical systems and legacy applications. Fluency in Finnish, both written and spoken. Personal Qualities A proactive and self-directed approach to work.
