Role Description The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of production schedules and supply chain activities. This role involves optimizing resources, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet customer demands while minimizing costs. Job description: Production Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders and forecasted demand. Coordinate with production teams to ensure capacity planning aligns with demand. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand, delays, or resource availability. Supply Chain Management: Oversee procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components. Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control strategies to minimize waste and overstock. Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise with sales and production teams to ensure alignment of production schedules with delivery timelines. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address any disruptions or challenges in the supply chain. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production and supply chain data to identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports on production efficiency, inventory levels, and supply chain performance. Utilize ERP or other supply chain management software to manage data and workflows. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
