MES Project Automation Engineer | Copenhagen, Denmark | Long-term Contract This is a full-time on-site role Overview: We are seeking MES Project Automation Engineers to join one of our key biologics clients in Copenhagen, Denmark. This role is critical for advancing paperless manufacturing by driving MES/DCS integration and developing automated workflows. You will play a pivotal role in project execution, testing, and ensuring that manufacturing processes remain the primary drivers for MES solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement projects to achieve full ERP/MES/DCS integration and automated workflows. Generate and execute test protocols for system testing and qualification. Understand and support manufacturing processes, ensuring they guide MES design and implementation. Provide support for daily manufacturing operations and associated teams. Work in adherence to defined procedures, maintaining validated automation systems. Experience and Skills Required: Proven experience as an MES/Automation Engineer within large pharmaceutical or biotech projects. Hands-on experience with Emerson’s Syncade MES system . Expertise in MES integration with DCS and ERP systems or relevant IT experience. Programming skills in VB Script , XML/XPATH/XSLT , or SQL/TSQL . Knowledge of process equipment and support system design/operations. Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with batch processes, GMP , GAMP , and the S88 standard . Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. A strong willingness to learn new automation systems and adopt innovative approaches. Ability to adapt to changing project demands with a structured and proactive attitude. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a Computer Systems-related discipline.
