For our client well established international manufacturing company and automotive supplier, we are looking for a Plant Production Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a production facility and a team. They should be able to analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes. In this position, Plant Production Manager is responsible for assuring all procedures are followed in achieving the highest level of productivity in our plant in the most cost-efficient manner possible while still maintaining the specification of the customer. Make sure all reporting requirements are met for the area of supervision. Knowledge/Experience/Education: Proven history of ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset. Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment Previous manufacturing supervision experience would strongly be needed. Bachelorโs Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering or Sheet metal Operations is preferred. Effective communication both in Slovenian and English is a must Skills and Abilities Drive positive transformation throughout the site, build and mentor effective teams and drive employee engagement, involvement and development. Work with other functional leadership within the business to ensure operations are aligned to strategic objectives and that capacity is proactively planned and managed Focus on achieving cost reductions and increased profitability through the philosophy of driving continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility Ensure the optimising of processes related to the effective and efficient management of inventory Coach, mentor, and educate employees to develop, support and sustain a continuous improvement culture โ establish improvement as a way of life Develop and challenge the production team to embed the lean tools, techniques and leadership behaviours Implement and maintain quality control standards across the site Must be self-driven and ambitious with proven leadership capabilities, including providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision within a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills, including encouraging others on your team to think proactively and create solutions. Provide timely production operational activities in line with key objective set supporting our business strategy Be responsible for the value stream product quality standards and the continuous improvement of these standards Understanding of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban and Lean manufacturing is preferred Oversee plant operations such as budget, production schedule and stock Analyze production costs and inventory to establish areas for improvements Ensure adherence to rules and workplace policies Proven site leadership experience and people management skills Previous experience of a ‘Safety First’ culture with a zero-tolerance and continuous safety improvement mentality or the equivalent Financially literate and competent in managing and interpreting key business-related data A customer-centric mindset with the ability to build and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations Excellent communications skills to actively listen and communicate with employees on all levels Strong communication, management, and supervisory and leadership skills (150+FTE) Essential duties and responsibilities : Trains and provides an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance in their respective positions. Plans and schedules manpower, materials, product and machines to most effectively and efficiently utilize departmental policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality and overall company personnel satisfaction. Manages employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback. Promotes department and company goodwill through pro-active employee communication and employee involvement. Investigates, in cooperation with other departments, areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control and equipment maintenance and provides suggestions.
