Product Design Intern – D1 Milano About Us : We are a dynamic company in the premium accessories and watch industry, dedicated to delivering unparalleled products and experiences to our customers worldwide. In order to expand our design team, we are looking for a passionate and creative Product Design Intern to join us in our Milan office. D1 Milano is an Italian Watch Brand with over 3 million people visiting our website every year, more than 800 POS worldwide, more than 500K social community and over 120 000 watches sold each year. Position Overview: Reporting to the Senior Product Designer, the Product Design Intern plays an important role in the creation and design of the D1 Milano watches, and the related universe of accessories and merchandising. In the projects to which the designer will contribute, he/she will work closely with the other Designers and with the Communication and Product Development teams, from the first project steps to final prototypes and production. Responsibilities : – Create effective and functional 3D renderings, for prototyping and production; – Provide precise technical artworks for final production to Product Development Team; – Constantly propose new aesthetic and technical ideas for the product collections he/she is responsible for; – Have a deep knowledge of design and accessory market trends, as well as watches, to contribute to the definition and development of the D1 Milano brand of the present and future; – Work on and contribute to product development, starting from the initial design phases up to industrialization and final prototyping; – Be in regular contact with the Communication and Product Development teams to monitor the various projects, responding precisely to the briefs received; – Contribute significantly to the internal creative and technical development of the department; – Keep abreast of materials, trends and new developments in the watch, jewelry and accessories industries. Candidate Profile : The ideal candidate has strong visual communication skills and is extremely fond of details. The candidate knows how and where to research for new trends and innovations, and how to accomplish market researches. Familiarity with production methods and processes is a plus. He/She must be able to work with an agile, collaborative mindset. Highly efficient and rigorous yet flexible, the candidate must be able to adapt successfully to diverse situations and integrate seamlessly into the company culture.
