About the position As Project Design Manager (Projekteringsleder), you will have the opportunity to solve complex tasks in close collaboration with your project team. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from preparing and following up on schedules and finances, meetings with the client, authorities, and consultants, and ensuring that deadlines, milestones and project quality are met. Effective communication will be critical to your role. Therefore, you will be expected to actively support and promote good internal and external collaboration. You must develop a well-functioning project team based on knowledge of the team’s multidisciplinary fields and utilise the team’s competencies in the best possible way. You will have an important role in the project team, where you must be able to navigate the challenges and changes that may arise, proactively assisting your colleagues and other consultants to ensure the best solutions at the right quality, time and cost. Arkitema actively supports and develops the discipline of design management through forums for Design Managers, tailored internal training, and the development of new digital tools and quality systems. Your key responsibilities will be: Safeguarding the client’s interests with regards to the project’s schedule, budget and quality requirements Overseeing the design process to ensure alignment with client requirements and regulations To communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to clarify design expectations and progress Ensuring a good and trusting work environment with everyone involved Coordinating with technical teams to develop integrated design solutions Implement design standards and ensure quality control throughout the design process Conduct design reviews to meet functional and aesthetic criteria To succeed in this Project Design Manager position, a few things are crucial The first step to success in this role is to be eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. On top of that, you will have: A degree in architecture, architectural technology or constructing architecture Extensive experience in project- and design management or related areas in the building and industrial construction sector Good negotiation and conflict management skills Familiarity with Danish construction law, consulting law and contractual agreements (e.g. AB18 – General conditions for building and construction works and supplies) Knowledge of BIM, IKT, and an understanding of client requirements in relation to digital processes Knowledge of tendering processes according to The Tender Act and the Public Procurement Act Experience with quality assurance and documentation of processes Our employees are our most important asset – that’s why we focus on you Arkitema is a knowledge-based company that relies on the best and most committed employees.
