Responsibilities Implements the business strategy for wind & solar project development Site selection and feasibility studies: lead the process of identifying suitable sites for projects, conducting feasibility studies, and coordinating with local authorities and environmental experts Regulatory compliance and permitting: manage the permitting process for projects, ensuring all local and regional regulations are followed and environmental assessments are completed as required Stakeholder engagement: build and maintain relationships with government bodies, investors, contractors, landowners, and other key stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and development Coordinates land acquisition, project permitting and design activities together with local partners and subcontractors Monitors market trends, energy policies, and technological advancements in Southeast Europe to provide strategic input on project viability and development Creates, updates and reports on project development time plans and budgets Develops long-term relationship with partners, contractors and local stakeholders Prepares project description documents and presentations Requirements Fluency in English and Romanian (spoken and written) 5-10 years of experience managing renewable energy projects, specifically in wind and solar energy, with a successful track record of delivering large-scale projects Strong technical knowledge: in-depth understanding of wind and solar energy systems, including design, implementation, and operational best practices Regional knowledge: familiarity with the regulatory landscape, permitting processes, and environmental policies in Southeast Europe related to renewable energy projects Risk management experience: ability to identify and mitigate technical, financial, and regulatory risks during all phases of project development.
