Job Overview: The Project Estimator and Design Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for Birdseye electronic CCTV security solutions. The role involves working closely with customer-supplied information to design blueprints, create scopes of work, and compile comprehensive material lists. A solid command of the English language is essential, while experience in CCTV, electrical, and civil domains is considered an asset. Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare detailed quotations for sales based on customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to pricing guidelines Assist in developing site drawings using various technological applications; proficiency in Bluebeam is an asset Build comprehensive project proposals by creating final Bills of Materials (BOM+) within the company’s CRM tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment through company tools such as Slack, Zoho, and Netsuite and Bluebeam Monitor project wins, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation strategies Track project budgets and expenditures, particularly with third-party companies Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior management Contribute to process improvements by identifying optimization opportunities in project management workflows and tools Develop bid packages, including scopes of work, drawing packages, and specifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret technical documents Proficient in writing routine reports and business correspondence Strong verbal communication skills for effectively presenting information to customers, clients, and team members Ability to interpret various forms of instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedules) Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize duties and manage activities efficiently Qualifications: Proven experience in project estimation, design, or a related role (CCTV, electrical, or civil experience is an asset) Proficiency in design software and applications (e.g., Bluebeam) Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Netsuite) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack) Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the security or surveillance industry Knowledge of budgeting and financial tracking processes Employee Compensation Package & Perks: Opportunity to be part of a team of ambitious, talented people with diverse backgrounds and style We are all striving to continuously learn and improve Opportunity to be creative and innovative, we love new ideas Company organized events (football, parties, company hangouts, pancake day, fruit day, lunch day etc.) Monthly Fit Pass membership Equity compensation Semi-Annual Performance Reviews Bonuses for employees with children Dynamic and modern office space including a spacious lounge where employees can relax and enjoy Show more Show less
