Role The Global Internship Programme is an exciting opportunity to get first-hand experience in a world-class marketing organisation. As part of our programme, you will be an active member of a professional and dynamic team in one of eleven locations. You will receive on-the-job learning and guided mentoring from our highly experienced teams while having access to global markets, exclusive trade events, interdisciplinary networks and most importantly, career building opportunities. We believe in fostering the next generation of talent so no matter which team you become part of you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of our world-class marketing programmes, promoting the island of Ireland. Note: This placement may involve some travel and work outside normal business hours. Key Results Area Support the Publicity Executive in the rollout of publicity plans throughout the Nordic markets. Assist in the co-ordination of press and influencer trips, working closely with our sister agencies, Failte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland. Support in the rollout of media events and partnerships across the Nordic markets. PR reporting and clippings and media monitoring collation as required. Support the Digital Executive in scheduling and reporting on social media activity, if required. Provide administration support to the Nordics team including finance and general office administration. Ensure adherence to the company’s GDPR compliance policies and procedures in respect of your area of work. Represent Tourism Ireland at various industry, press and corporate events. Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require. The Person Essential • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines will be considered). • Must be returning to complete studies after the completion of the placement. • The legal right to live and work on the island of Ireland for the full duration of the programme. • Fluent English, both oral and written, is required. • Proficient in MS Office. • These challenging roles require confident individuals who are: – Professional and highly motivated – Team-focused – Proactive and have the desire to develop and learn – Open-minded and creative • All employees/candidates are expected to be able to show evidence of demonstrating Tourism Ireland’s values in practice. – Respect – Collaboration – Ownership – Creativity Desirable • Knowledge of the island of Ireland and its tourism product.
