Job Location Milan, Italy or Remote (within Europe) Willingness to travel up to 30%, primarily within the region Job Description MFR is seeking a Regional Manager (RM) to lead business development and operational management across Europe. Joining our dynamic and international team of financial inclusion experts, the RM will report directly to the Operations Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape regional strategy, manage a talented team of analysts, and contribute to MFR’s mission of advancing responsible finance. Tasks and Responsibilities Business Development: Drive promotion and marketing efforts across Europe. Lead sales initiatives for new and existing clients. Negotiate contracts and build long-term client relationships. Represent MFR at regional events and with key stakeholders, including EU institutions and DFIs. Operational Management: Oversee regional operations, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality execution. Supervise and support a team of four analysts. Monitor and enhance client satisfaction. Implementation of Assignments and Ratings (30% of time): Conduct data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and prepare detailed reports. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of assignments. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key partners, clients, and institutions. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the financial sector, impact investment, or relevant international development projects. Strong understanding of the European finance sector, including experience in Western Europe and the Balkans. Knowledge of ESG practices and relevant financial regulations and standards. Proficiency in accounting and financial analysis. Proven experience in sales and client relationship management. Exceptional networking and communication skills. Ability to lead a team, supervise staff, and collaborate across global teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. Fluency in English. Highly proactive, organized, and results-driven. Desirable: Experience with socially responsible banks or entities in Europe. Previous engagement with EU institutions. Fluency in an additional European language.
