The SAP Consultant understands, analyses, translates and guides business requirements into part of (or entire) automated system SAP solutions within the overall regional IT strategy and guidelines, coordinate the deployment of the solution and ensure the handover/support. The SAP Consultant is part of the Regional IT Supply Organization which offers IT services in multiple countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Greece, Serbia). Key responsibilities of your role. Translates Business needs into advanced capabilities and best practices based on best in class standard packages. Allow for localization and enhancements of the package justified by a business case enabling better business capabilities. Create corresponding functional requirements as an input to application design. Propose solutions, configure the system and write detailed functional specification of WRICEFs. Coordinate the execution of projects with the development teams located abroad in order to make sure the technical developments match the functional requirements of the systems and ensure quality is respected (Conduct functional Unit Tests and String Tests). Support Integration Tests and UAT. Deliver best in class, operable and sustainable Business Solutions with an optimal balance and integration between the different elements: Applications, Infrastructure, Data, Business Processes, Business Organization, IT Organization. Partner with peers when integrating functionalities across applications and/or modules. Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements to provide additional Business capabilities with a clear Business Case in collaboration with the vendor. Regularly question “ways of working” and existing work processes and investigate alternatives to work on application systems in order to contribute to and support continuous improvement efforts and the client / user experience of the developments. . . Follow applicable Standards, Procedures, Guidelines and Methodologies in the implementation and/or maintenance of the SAP Retail platform. Monitor & analyze technology trends in own area which could provide a benefit & improve capabilities for the business and support Strategy or Regional Roadmap. What’s in it for you? We ask a lot. We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information technology sciences, or any other discipline of technical orientation (Supply Chain experience or background preferred) or equivalent by experience. Prior experience of 6 to 8 years and knowledge in implementing SAP applications from design to Go-Live, with successful completion of minimum 4 SAP end-to-end implementation projects. A minimum of 5 year experience in SAP Retail. Good working knowledge of Supply Chain business processes. Clearly demonstrate expertise in project deliverables, escalation, process management and business systems requirements definition. Expert knowledge of following functional SAP IS-Retail areas is essential: Store orders POS Interface (Inbound&Outbound Profiles, ALE EDI, IDoc Overview & monitoring) Retail Master-data structure/Architecture Cross Docking Collective PO Allocation Core SAP modules Integration with external WMS via IDocs Order and delivery related billing Return Processing Credit and Debit Memo Request Delivery creation – picking – GI Batch management Job scheduling Additional expertise and knowledge in the following areas is an asset: SAP ALE, BAPI, iDoc SAP ABAP, User Exits, LSMW SAP Fiori It goes without saying that so-called ‘soft skills’ are just as important as their ‘hard’ cousins.
